We supply new and recycled timber stair treads, risers and handrails. Our machining and finishing capabilities allow us to manufacture to your precise specifications. In this way, we ensure that your treads and other staircase requirements are custom made and unique to the space you are filling and the style you want. Wide stairs, circular staircases, landings can all be made to your specific design.
Shiver Me Timbers is famous for the design and manufacture of recycled messmate, blackbutt treads and landings, but we also produce them in new and recycled iron bark, spotted gum and other timbers. We can advise on the best timbers to use for external locations. We can make the treads with rebates of any size on the undersides so that the treads can fit onto steel plating on the stair structure. We can supply risers to match the treads. If your design calls for timber handrails, we can match the treads or we can make the handrails separately to be a part of a marble or carpeted staircase.
12mm solid timber overlay flooring for use over concrete or sheet
If the staircase is designed to have a landing, we can make this out of the same timber variety as the stairs or it can be made out of a different timber variety to add a fresh dimension to the staircase.

Re-milled floorboards can be milled to achieve an antique look, utilising natural aging and surface cracked lines, or you can have a clean fresh look.

Lengths
All flooring is sold as random lengths but the general length of each floor will vary. Please ask your sales person for precise information as to the average length of each of our different floors. In most cases, flooring comes end-matched to reduce wastage and speed up laying time.
